2. Set up your Master Board with the required columns.

1. 1. Make sure it includes all the columns that will receive data from your Source Boards and that each column has the same type as on the Source Boards.
   2. Then, the following seven columns need to be added to your Master Board:
      1. Board Name – Text column
 Automatically populated with the name of the item’s parent (source) board.
      2. Group Name – Text column
 Automatically populated with the name of the group where the item is located on the source board.
      3. Source Item Id – Text column
 Automatically populated with the item’s ID from the source board.
      4. Source Item URL – Link column
 Automatically populated with a link to the item on the source board.
      5. Parent Item – Text column
 Automatically populated with the parent item name from the source board.
      6. Parent Item URL – Link column
 Automatically populated with a link to the parent item from the source board.
      7. Item Status – Status column (Optional)
 Only needed if the ‘Mark’ option is used in the Master Data by Mint board view. Statuses:
         • Active – default status
         • Deleted – if an item or subitem is deleted from the source board
         • Archived – if an item or subitem is archived on the source board
         • Moved – if an item or subitem is moved to another source board
Note: If an item is moved to another board, the Master Board will update the link and parent board name. Further changes will not sync unless the new source board is integrated with the Master Board.
   3. Important
      • Required columns must have the exact names and types listed above. Otherwise, your configuration cannot be saved due to validation errors.
      • All other columns on the Master Board must also exist on the Source Board with the same name and type to be populated automatically.
   4. Edge Case – People Columns
 To prevent double notifications when creating items on the Master Board:
      • Notifications are sent only from the first People column. Additional People columns do not trigger notifications.
      • Add two People columns on the Master Board: leave the first empty (and hidden if needed) and use the second for mapping.
   5. Source Board Structure
      • Columns on the Source Board must match the name and type of columns on the Master Board to sync automatically.
      • Columns with different names but the same type can be mapped manually in the Master Data by Mint Board View.
